Buying Backlinks in India in 2026: A Buyer's Guide That Skips the Marketing

Every week we get the same email. "Should I buy backlinks? If yes, where, how many, and what budget?" This post is the long answer.

If you are running an Indian website (small business, ecommerce, SaaS, agency) and you have decided that paid link-building is part of your SEO plan, the next decision is not whether to buy. It is what shape of order makes sense for your situation. And the answer changes a lot depending on three things: your current site authority, your competitive niche, and how much you want to spend per month.

What ₹699 actually buys

The entry tier across most Indian sellers (including ours) is around ₹699 for 300 mixed backlinks. The word that matters there is mixed. A ₹699 pack will give you a spread of web 2.0 posts, social bookmarks, wiki article placements, authority profile links and a few press release pickups. None of those are editorial guest posts. None of them sit on a DA 70+ host.

What ₹699 is good for: pushing a brand-new site into Google's index faster, adding referring-domain breadth to a thin link profile, and giving small businesses a measurable first SEO signal without committing to retainer budgets.

What ₹699 is not good for: ranking a money keyword in a competitive niche, building editorial trust signals, or impressing an investor reviewing your site's backlink profile in Ahrefs.

What ₹2,999 buys

At the ₹2,999 mark you cross into editorial territory. This is the price point for a single guest post on a DA 30+ niche-relevant blog with real organic traffic. One link. But that one link is contextually placed in a 600-800 word article written for the host blog's audience, with your anchor text where you choose it, and a permanent placement that registers in every backlink tool.

Most Indian SEOs underestimate the gap between a DA 30+ editorial link and 300 mixed bulk links. The editorial link passes materially more equity per URL, the article it sits in often ranks for related terms on its own, and the host site itself continues to gain authority over time, which lifts the link's value with it.

The buying decision at ₹2,999: if you have one specific URL (a hub page, a product category, a service landing page) that needs editorial weight, buy the guest post. If you have many URLs needing breadth, buy the bulk pack at the same price point (we sell a 5,000 mixed pack at ₹2,999 too).

What ₹9,999 buys

At ₹9,999 you should be looking at one of two things: a full mixed stack (every link type in one purchase) or roughly three to four DA 50+ guest posts. We package the mixed-stack version as the Complete SEO Backlink Package — approximately 3,700 links across 13 link types in one delivery.

The full-stack option is the right choice when you are recovering from an algorithm hit and need varied signal proving topical authority. The three-guest-post option is the right choice when you are pushing a single page to break into a competitive head term ranking.

Different shapes of campaign. Same budget. The choice depends on what your link profile already looks like.

The three questions any seller should answer before you pay

If you are talking to a backlink seller and they cannot answer these three questions clearly, do not buy.

1. Where exactly will the links be placed?

The seller should be able to tell you the source categories (web 2.0, wiki, guest post, profile, etc.) and ideally the approximate DA range of each. "High-DA backlinks" is not an answer. "500 contextual web 2.0 posts on DA 20-60 hosts, 200 authority profile links on DA 50+ platforms, and 100 niche directory submissions" is an answer.

2. What does the delivery report look like?

A professional seller delivers a PDF and a CSV listing every live URL, anchor text used, host DA at delivery time, and ideally a screenshot timestamp. If you are buying 1,200 backlinks and the deliverable is a vague email, you are buying inventory that is hard to verify and easy to lose.

3. What happens if a link drops in six months?

The right answer is a 12-month replacement guarantee. Drop rates for hand-placed white-hat links sit around 4-7% over twelve months. Drop rates for automated bulk links can hit 25%+. The replacement guarantee is what insures you against quality variation.

What we wish more buyers asked

The one question almost nobody asks at the order stage but should: "What is the link velocity pattern of this campaign?"

A 300-backlink Starter Pack delivered as 300 links in two hours looks fake to Google. The same 300 links delivered as a drip across 5-7 working days looks like organic editorial discovery. Velocity matters more than volume for safety.

We drip every order from this catalog across its delivery window for exactly this reason. Cheap automated sellers cannot drip — their tools fire everything at once.

When buying backlinks is the wrong move

A quick honest take: not every Indian site needs paid link-building. The signs that you should fix something else first include thin content (under 1,500 words on your money pages), technical SEO problems Google Search Console is yelling about, on-page issues (no H1, no schema, slow LCP), or a brand-new domain under 90 days old.

If any of those describe your site, fix those first. Paid backlinks do not fix structural problems. They amplify whatever signal your site already has, which means amplifying a broken signal makes things worse.

Practical starting points

If you are reading this and you have a specific situation in mind:

  • Small business, new SEO: Start with the Starter Pack ₹699. Understand the rhythm of campaign delivery first.
  • Stuck on page 2-3 for a head term: One DA 50+ guest post does more than 1,200 mixed links for a single-URL push.
  • Agency fulfilling client retainers: Our Monthly Agency Subscription delivers the full Complete stack monthly under your unbranded reports.
  • Recovering from a Google update: The Complete SEO Backlink Package ₹9,999 is varied enough to prove diversified authority signal across 13 link types.

None of these are the right answer for every site. They are the most common situations buyers come to us with, and the packages that fit them.
