The difference between a backlink service worth paying for and one that is not comes down to a single question: can you open every link they built? What it costs to buy backlinks that actually hold
Price in this market tracks one thing: how much human work went into the placement. A foundation link is bulk-built on a platform that accepts anyone, and costs a rupee or two. A link placed by hand inside an article on a site with real readers costs hundreds, because someone had to pitch it, write it and get it published.
Both have a use. Foundation links build breadth and help a new site get crawled; hand-placed links move pages that competitors want. What you should not do is pay premium prices for the first and be told it is the second — which is the single most common way money is wasted here. Do follow backlinks, and why that word is worth checking
A do follow link is one search engines are meant to count. A nofollow link carries an attribute telling them not to. Both appear in any natural profile, so a page with nothing but do follow links looks built rather than earned — but if you are paying for ranking signal specifically, do follow is what you are paying for.
The reason to check rather than assume: several cheap link types are nofollow by default, and are sold anyway without the distinction being mentioned. Every link in our reports states which it is. If a supplier will not tell you, treat that as the answer.

You cannot tell what you bought

A profile on a DA 92 platform is not a DA 92 link — that number belongs to the parent site, not to your page. It is the most common way a cheap link is dressed up as an expensive one.
The links quietly disappear
A placement that vanishes after ninety days did not build anything. Without a replacement policy in writing, the cost of that is entirely yours.
Nobody will say what they cannot do
Anyone quoting you a ranking position is guessing. Placements are the part a supplier controls; where they move you depends on your pages and your competitors. A seller who will not draw that line is selling you the wrong thing.
What a link building agency charges, and what you get for it
A full-service link building agency in India typically works on a monthly retainer and bundles strategy, outreach and reporting. That is the right shape if you want someone owning the whole channel and you have the budget for it.
It is the wrong shape if what you actually need is links. Buying placements directly removes the account management from the invoice, and for most businesses under a certain size that is most of the invoice. Choosing a link building company: four questions worth asking
- Will you send a live URL for every link? If the answer is a domain list or a count, you cannot verify anything you bought.
- Whose authority is that number? A high score on the parent platform tells you nothing about the page your link sits on.
- What happens if a link drops? Ours are replaced free for twelve months. Without a written policy, that risk is yours alone.
- What will you not promise? A company that cannot name the limits of what it sells has not thought hard about it, or is hoping you will not.

Start small and check the work
The sensible way to try any backlink service is the cheapest pack that still produces a real report — then open the links. If they are there, scale up. If they are not, you have learned it for the price of a small order rather than a retainer.
