Why competitor backlink replication works
Most ranking gaps between you and the top-3 result are explained by referring-domain gaps. If your competitor has links from 150 sites in your niche and you have 20, no on-page optimization closes the rest. You need the same kind of editorial pattern they have.
Replicating their strongest links is faster than doing your own outreach because someone has already done the editorial work to qualify those hosts as relevant. We just need to get the same hosts to mention you, with a different angle or contextual fit.
Our process: from competitor URL to 50 replicated links
Day 1: We export the competitor's full backlink profile from Ahrefs. We filter for do-follow, contextual, host DA 30+, and currently live. We rank by passed equity (combination of host DA and link relevance score). We pick the top 50.
Days 2-7: We classify each of the 50 by replication strategy. About 60 percent are 'pitch a similar angle' (we write a fresh article and pitch your link to the same host editor). About 30 percent are 'guest contribution to the same site' (we pitch as a fresh contributor to a blog where the competitor is also a contributor). About 10 percent are 'directory or profile re-creation' (we register your business in the same directories your competitor is in).
Days 8-14: Outreach and placement. Days 14: final delivery report.
What if some links cannot be replicated
Roughly 10-15 percent of competitor links are non-replicable: paid sponsorships you cannot match, founder relationship-based links, or expired site assets. For each of those, we substitute a comparable replacement from our editorial network at no additional charge.
Our success rate at replicating 50 of 50 within 15 working days is currently 92 percent. The other 8 percent get 45-49 of 50 — close enough that the campaign still delivers measurable link-gap closure.

What if my competitor has weak backlinks?

We replicate the top 50 by passed-equity, even if their absolute quality is moderate. If the top 50 average below DA 25, we will flag this on day 1 and recommend a different pack instead.
Can I provide multiple competitors?
